Vestas Wind Systems A/S has been using the SAP Document Management System (DMS) for many years. A self-service portal gives external user groups (engineers, technicians, maintenance personnel) access to information about repairs, maintenance, etc. stored in SAP DMS. The challenge was now to provide portal users with a URL to stamped PDF files with all important information for download using OData services. In addition, it needed to be possible to distribute this information to portal users completely automatically – triggered by changes to the document status in SAP DMS.
