Our Corporate Conversion Server is a powerful conversion engine that automates all file conversion requirements company-wide. Using flexible interfaces, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing IT landscapes. Numerous additional functions round up the scope of services. Conversion servers from SEAL Systems aim at the improvement of optimization potentials in the daily business of medium-sized and large companies. A uniform infrastructure, for example, can create significant cost advantages! In addition, our conversion servers offer new possibilities to easily configure and control processes and structures in order to carry out transactions in this way that were previously not possible in such a process complexity and efficiency.
With the increasing spread of low-cost 3D printers in businesses and in the field of engineering, certain challenges arise in regard to how these devices are managed and operated. Over the past 30 years, these questions were resolved successfully by output-management systems in the 2D sector. So, it is not too far of a stretch to wonder if the same – or at least similar – technology can be used to resolve the challenges to 3D printing as well.
On 10 October 2018 the iX Cloud Conference 2018 will take place in Berlin. The conference is aimed at cloud users, providers and developers. The conference deals with issues arising from modern technologies such as serverless computing and microservices. Users and providers will have the opportunity to exchange business models and applications in the cloud, optimize and secure the cloud infrastructure, special criteria through the EU-DSGVO, atypical applications, cubernetes, automation and security risks.
As an established, internationally active manufacturer of medical devices, MAQUET is subject to FDA regulations with very high quality standards. This is particularly true in the area of product documentation, where MAQUET places high demands on the quality and security of documents in circulation and archived. In this case study you will read how the medical technology manufacturer MAQUET maps release processes using digital signatures, how the company converts documents to the long-term PDF/A format and how conversion processes are monitored directly from the SAP system.
With Direct Publishing from SEAL Systems, data and files are automatically compiled into a new document. The data for this procedure can be located anywhere, even distributed. This saves time, money and efforts, reduces errors and ensures fast, smooth processes. Read more about how this works and what Direct Publishing can do for you in our new white paper.
Many companies use conversion servers from SEAL Systems in parallel operation in order to manage the high and business-critical throughput. Multiserver is an extension which operates several CCS in a network, including load distribution and mutual replacement in the case of a computer breakdown. In this article, we had already announced the new Version 2.0 for our Corporate Conversion Server, and highlighted it as an important new function of the multiserver. This interconnection of several CCS entities is also required for our Cloud strategies.
For our Conversion Server to not only perform particular jobs as the central conversion hub for the SAP DMS, but also to really take over all of a company’s conversion jobs, it needed some updates. That’s why we developed Corporate Conversion Server 2.0 with the following additional features.
The right orientation of drawings is important when using automated print output via large-format devices if connected to an online folding machine. Technical drawings must be rotated in such a way that the legend is visible at the top of the paper batch to the folding machine. Automatic rotation can be difficult in some cases, however. Differentiating between landscape and portrait orientation, or rotation to the orientation required for the output device, can be easily done. What’s not easy is recognizing whether drawings are right-side up before or from automatic rotation.
Dealing with emails is an essential part of everyone’s day-to-day work in business. This familiar interface is therefore the ideal choice for the use of the automization of business processes. With its mail service, the Digital Process Factory (DPF), can now monitor IMAP and exchange post boxes and also produce DPF orders from incoming emails. The DPF is a sequence control for complex file conversions.
The last two articles of this series we explained, how the complete process of technical documentation generation can be automated by using our Direct Publishing solution in DPF technology. And this even with improved quality! Today we summarize all important facts of this process.
