Discover how Jungheinrich AG tackled the challenge of integrating external warehouses without Group network access into their material supply chain, ensuring seamless production processes even without network connectivity between locations.
The Initial Challenge
To address material supply challenges, Jungheinrich needed to establish storage facilities at various locations. These warehouses, managed by different partners, were spread across multiple sites and were not connected to the Jungheinrich network.
Project Objectives
The goal was to implement a solution that would enable printing at external warehouses, even without their own infrastructure. This solution is needed to ensure secure and timely data transfer to printers in these external locations, handle transport orders and label printing. Importantly, the solution also needed to integrate seamlessly with the existing system, without requiring changes to Jungheinrich’s SAP setup.
Key Benefits
- Streamlined Process: Simplified and clearly defined procedures for connecting new warehouses and external sites.
- Secure Cloud Operation: Allows for safe and convenient cloud-based operations without the need for a VPN.
- High Security and Reliability: Ensures the highest standards of safety and dependability.
- SaaS Solution: Eliminates the need for Jungheinrich to maintain cloud infrastructure or local hardware at external warehouses.
