With the Tool DMS-XSA some tasks and maintenance tasks involved in SAP DMS, can be solved more efficiently: For example, status change conversions, file exports and other tasks can be performed as a singular or recurring process.

The standard search function, CV04 for documents is significantly enhanced. A selection can be made based on information sets as well as on document file specifications. The identified documents can be then used for a configurable action. So it is now possible to identify all documents, which contain a CAD file, but still no TIFF or PDF. Then, with the list of search results, the user can check whether the search criteria meets his expectations.

There are the actions "conversion" and "export" available, running real time or as batch jobs, as well as the action "deletion". Other actions, also customer-specific, can be easily added.

For actions in batch mode, a starting time and a finishing time can be assigned. This ensures that the daily business processes are not disrupted by batch tasks.

The logging of actions is done through a table, whose display area can be set with configurable filter functions.

With DMS Extended Search & Action it is possible, to define, start and supervise single or cyclic tasks for DMS documents.
