Conversion Management Suite

The conversion servers from SEAL Systems are professional software solutions for the conversion of application files and graphic formats into print and long-term formats. SAP DMS comes with operations for the interactive or automated initiation of conversion processes.

Interface

SAP DMS conversion servers from SEAL Systems make use of and support the standard conversion services of SAP and therefore are 100% compatible:

• Batch Job Method
• Workflow Method
• Parallel conversions
• Transmission of additional information (for example, for stamping)

Conversion Server

The actual conversion process is running on a separate server. This server receives the conversion jobs from SAP and delivers the converted documents back to the SAP DMS where they are being checked in again.

Conversion Servers from SEAL Systems are built within the framework of the DPF (Digital Process Factory®) technology. This means, the conversion process is segmented into working units, which represent its basic elements. These units are connected into a digital process chain, which is then executed under the control of a runtime environment.

This way, conversion operations can be adapted, expanded and supplemented quickly and easily.

Additionally, SEAL Systems offers tools for the supervision and operation of conversion processes:

• Logging of conversion failures
• Repetition of conversions
• Notification in case of conversion failures

The Conversion Cockpit from SEAL Systems is the SAP-integrated GUI for monitoring and operating all conversion jobs, processes and operations.

Over 20 different input and output formats allow for over 100 different conversion operations.

SEAL Systems conversion servers generally use the original application for the conversion of application data. Experience has shown that this is the only way to achieve the highest conversion quality and process stability. Libraries and services from third party developers are usually the cause of problems with around 10% of converted documents. This is leading to high administration costs and manual reconversions and is not efficient for automated background conversion services.
