Comprehensive product structures can now be viewed and printed as graphical trees with solutions from SEAL Systems.

An SAP standard transaction from SEAL Systems allows for the search of bills of material containing all relevant information for the creation of the graphical tree. All data needed for a graphical illustrations of the product structure are adjusted and transferred to the output management system PLOSSYS netdome. The output management is then carrying out the following tasks:

• Processing of raw data into a graphical structure is done by Treejuggler, which has been developed in collaboration with the University of Passau and integrates in PLOSSYS netdome. 
• PLOSSYS netdome checks the raw graphical tree structure created by Treejuggler for it´s measurements and chooses the right title block (DIN A0 – DIN A4) corresponding to the size of the tree. 
• At last the drawing is prepared to fit the desired output device (printer, plotter, electronic distribution) and is released.

Within minutes, a visual of the current product structure is available. The arragment and generation of the tree is completely automatic. In addition, this solution is also available for very comprehensive bills of materials and product structures.

The application has been developed in collaboration with Astrium Space. The company has over 15,000 employees around the world and is rapidly developing aerospace and spaceflight components. It is also a part of the EADS group.
