Services for Siemens PLM: Printing, Distributing, Publishing
On May 17th and 18th, at the Siemens PLM Connection 2011 in Seeheim, Germany, SEAL Systems is presenting the latest version of the Document Output Center for Teamcenter (DOC4TC). This software solution comprehends method and operations for the automatic collection of documents from objects and structures in Teamcenter. Those document lists can then be printed, distributed electronically or converted.
With the new solution, companies can integrate files and documents managed in Teamcenter into new business processes. Additionally they can create long-term formats for archiving from all application data – even with extended status and version information as stamps or watermarks. Linked documents can be identified and collected from structures like bills of material or assembly groups. Then the documents can be printed or sent as an email or to a web portal. Of course this process involves all up-to-date methods for saved and transparent document control. In addition, multiple documents can be bundled into a packet, similar to the creation of folders, chapters and pagination.
Teamcenter User Interface
All operations for search, identification and collection of docuements are based in Teamcenter. This way, users don´t have to leave their accustomed working environment. Templates for frequently used operations and the definition of default settings facilitate the daily business. All results are automatically stored in Teamcenter for re-use and trackback.
Conversion and Printing is standard
The standard functional range includes conversions from and into TIFF and PDF. In case of special in- or output-formats, DOC4TC supports a wide variety of application converters that enable you to create almost any print and long time format. Conversion results are checked into Teamcenter automatically. Windows standard print services for TIFF and PDF files are also included. Files can be processed manually or in batch mode when executing mass operations.
Interfaces for Output Management and Publishing
For full-range print and distribution functionality there are standard interfaces of Output Management Systems: PLOSSYS® netdome and gXnetplot. These systems can easily carry out large format printing, electronic distribution and extended document control throughout the network infrastructure of your company. If self-provided documents and supplied papers have to be assembled into a new document form for handbooks, bid invitations and product information, the Publishing interface can be used. DPF4Publish from SEAL Systems provides a broad range of functions for the creation of comprehensive documents that will be printed or distributed electronically. In addition, The Document Output Center is available for Teamcenter Unified, our Output Management and Publishing services are available for Windows and Linux.
